Visit the iconic Basilica Catedral Nuestra Señora de la Altagracia, one of the country’s most important religious sites located in Higüey City
Local Market – Take a short hike along the main street, discover daily life, and explore the bustling local market.
We’ll make a stop at a local souvenir shop to discover some of the Dominican Republic’s most iconic traditions.
Learn about traditional cigar making, discover Larimar (our national stone) and get the real story behind Mamajuana—how it’s made, what’s traditionally inside it, and its place in Dominican culture. And yes, there’s a tasting too—but this isn’t just about drinking it. You’ll actually understand what you’re tasting, beyond the simplified stories you may have heard at your resort.
Meeting and pickup information
- We offer pickup and drop-off from hotels, resorts and Airbnbs in the Punta Cana/Bávaro area. Some resorts have restricted vehicle access, so pickup may be at the hotel’s designated meeting point or at the main entrance. We’ll contact you by WhatsApp or phone before the tour to confirm the exact pickup location and time. If your resort offers golf-cart transportation to the entrance, we recommend checking with reception in advance.
